Vaughn Cottage
Vaughn Cottage is a small museum featuring artifacts and historic manuscripts including the collection of Celia Thaxter, poet laureate of the Isles of Shoals. A curator is on hand to provide exhibits, manage the lending library, and assist with research and inquiry.
Dining on Star
Meals are hearty and satisfying home style cuisine served family style in the hotel's dining room. A limited number of seats are reserved for guests each mealtime. Please ask at the front desk.
Snack Bar
The snack bar is a popular gathering place for enjoying lime rickeys, hotdogs, ice cream, lobster rolls, and more.
Book Store and Lobby Store
The book Store has an engaging inventory of local interest and popular reading materials. The lobby shop carries a variety of personal care items.
Gift Shop
A small gift shop, sponsored by the Isles of Shoals Association (Unitarian-Universalist), Inc., provides souvenirs and mementos of Star Island as well as an assortment of toys. Income from the store enables the ISA (U-U), Inc. to provide valuable support to the island.
Marine Lab
The Rutledge Marine Lab is open every day for hands-on learning about native marine life.
