2008 Star Island Shoaler Survey

Dear Shoaler,
As you probably know, the Star Island Corporation (SIC) owns and operates the Star Island Conference Center. Its mission is to hold and administer Star Island, one of the Isles of Shoals off Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and such other property as the corporation may acquire, for religious, educational and kindred purposes which are to:
- Bring together diverse people;
- Provide a haven for spiritual renewal and personal growth;
- Foster discussion of important ethical and religious issues; and
- Honor the history and natural environment of the Isles of Shoals.
Our three year strategic plan addresses factors key to Star’s healthy survival including our facilities maintenance, our finances, governance, and relations with the world beyond Star. Building a secure financial future, putting Star on solid ground so that it remains affordable is paramount.
We will soon be undertaking a capital campaign. We want to know your thoughts and feelings about your recent time on Star and we would like to have your advice so that we may realize our strategic plan goals and effectively plan for the capital campaign.
This survey will require about 20 minutes to complete and will run until Sunday, November 16th. We hope you will write your name in the place provided on the last page. Your responses will be held in confidence. Thank you for your advice and opinions.
